Renovation support & home sourcing

Renovating a house is exciting. It is also full of decisions - some large, some surprisingly small, and many that need to be made much earlier than you expect. I trained as an interior designer and have renovated several homes myself, so I know how useful it can be to have someone alongside you who understands both the creative and practical sides of the process. I offer practical advice, thoughtful sourcing and an experienced second pair of eyes - helping you navigate the decisions, find the right things and create a home that feels considered, personal and entirely your own.

RENOVATION SUPPORT

A sounding board when you need one.

Renovating can be a lot to hold in your head at once. Plans, layouts, finishes, fixtures, materials, budgets, suppliers - and all the decisions that seem to appear along the way.

I can help you make sense of it all, sense-check your ideas and work through the details, from the early stages of planning through to the finishing touches.

Whether you need help with a particular decision, a room that isn't quite coming together, or simply someone to talk an idea through with, I'll bring experience, practical advice and a considered second pair of eyes - without taking over.

And when the work gets underway,
I can be there too.

HOME SOURCING

Finding the things that make a house feel like yours.

Some pieces you know you're looking for. Others you come across and immediately know they belong.

I source furniture, lighting, vintage pieces and objects for individual rooms or whole homes — working from a particular brief, a wish list or simply a feeling you're trying to create.

My role isn't to make your home look like mine. It's to help you find the right things for yours.

That might mean tracking down a particular piece, finding something unexpected, or bringing together old and new in a way that feels natural.

A FEW HOUSES

And a lot of lessons

I was born into a family obsessed with renovation. It was, at one time, how you made your money.

By the time I was 16, I’d lived in 18 houses - all in various stages of becoming. There was plenty of camping, washing hair in sinks and watching houses evolve, often very quickly, into homes.

The apple never falls far from the tree.

When I moved out early into rented digs, I showed the first signs of what I now recognise as a lifelong tendency to nest. Creating cosy corners. Making little displays. Sewing curtains when buying them cost too much. Finding ways to make somewhere feel like home, whatever the state of it.

THE THINGS NO ONE TELLS YOU

Since then, I’ve renovated several homes, converted an old stable into an office, built a shepherd’s hut from scratch and am currently building a four-bedroom house from the ground up.

There have been plenty of mistakes.
And quite a few discoveries.

Things I wish someone had told me before I started. Things I’d do differently. Things worth spending money on - and things that really aren’t.

I've learnt a lot along the way, and I'd like to make the process a little easier for someone else.

Thinking about renovating? Or already in the thick of it?

Could you do with a second pair of eyes? A sounding board. A sense check. Someone to talk things through with - from the big decisions to the things you might not have thought about yet.
Practical advice, hard-won experience and an extra pair of hands when you need them.
